Students are required to renew their registration at the beginning of each academic semester. To complete the semester registration, the tuition fee for that semester must be paid within the dates specified in the academic calendar.

Students who have registered or renewed their registration at Koç University may withdraw from the university within the period specified in the Academic Calendar and receive a full refund of their tuition fee. Students who withdraw after the specified period will not be eligible for a tuition refund.

A student may need to take a leave of absence for compelling reasons. In such cases, the student must apply to the University Administrative Board for approval. If the leave of absence is granted, the student can continue their education at the end of the leave period without the need for further approval. Students applying for a leave of absence must complete all registration procedures, including tuition payment.

In the School of Medicine, this period extends to 12 semesters. Students who achieve a Cumulative GPA of 2.00 are eligible to graduate from their respective undergraduate programs. Courses are categorized as core, compulsory, free electives, and area electives. The minimum number of courses that students can take each semester is defined by this program, which also determines their course load. Students can access their course schedules through KUSIS.

5. How can I register for courses?

Course registration at the university takes place in two phases: registration and add/drop period. During the add/drop period, students can make adjustments to their course selections until the end of the second Friday of the semester in Fall and Spring terms.
